Chrome Auto Update Disable
[Chrome Auto Update]

Google is mostly a very good company and desrve a credit.

I have a problem with Chrome team thou.

They live in constant betaland and install on our computers untested versions of Chrome once a while.

Last update, which pushed v. 19.0.1084.56 onto my machine totally messed up sound ... and not only on Chrome but in general.

I do not know what "new wonderful technology" they try to peddle this time, but it backfires.

Stay away from that build.

Last safe is: 19.0.1084.52 - get it here: http://www.oldapps.com/google_chrome.php

My suggestion: disable Chrome autoupdate and update manually (e.g. using link above).

How to disable auto update - note: I cannot say, it Chrome will not re-set your changes, so it is good to do this everytime you update.

Here is how I did it. Just follow images - and some written suggestions.

Pictures are for Vista.

Click on "Manage".

Click on "Task Scheduler Library"

.. and tell them "Sayonara" ... until they start testing their soft properly before installing it on your computer without asking.
